Laundry...

This post comes with a huge *sigh*... seriously, I finally get it all caught up, turn around and BAM! There's another mountain! To be fair, Ryan usually has his work out clothes, his work clothes, then regular clothes all in the same day- multiply that by five... anyhow you see my dilema... putting away laundry is the most annoying household chore for me. Give me dishes, cleaning the bathrooms, dusting, vacuuming but do not ask me to fold clothes and put them in drawers. Don't ask me why- it doesn't make sense. What's your worst household chore to do- the one you avoid at all costs?

Another question...
My daughter has the CUTEST clothes EVER- seriously, it's so fun to pick out her outfit every day- is it morally wrong that my daughter has cuter clothes than me? She's going to need a bigger closet than me! why do they make kids clothes so dang cute?! ESPECIALLY girl clothes! Regardless, between her and my husband, our washing machine is getting a LOT of use- I guess I should get used to it- it'll only grow with each member of the family we keep adding-*sigh*

Me encanta Mexico!

HOLA! Today I was reminicing and came across pictures from me and Ryan's anniversary trip to Cancun. I thought I would post and take a trip down memory lane...

This is a crab we saw on the beach- he kept running then burying himself in the sand- it was hilarious!

This is us at Chichen Itza- it was amazing!!! We wanted to hike to the top of the pyramid but a week before some drunk idiot went to the top and fell off- thanks a lot mister, that was the whole purpose we went to Chichen Itza! We still had fun- a lot of ancient Mayan ruins to see in Cancun! Oh, this is the last picture taken of my Christian Dior sunglass Ryan got for me- I loved those sunglasses, they are forever lost at sea in the Carribean ocean...

This is us at sunrise on the beach- the water is warm all the time and we went for an early morning dip while all the partiers were sleeping off their hangovers. Cancun and Cozumel has some of the best reefs in the world! Ahh, I love it there!

On our way to Chichen Itza we stopped at a rainforest park, it was amazing! We hiked down into this wide open hole filled with water, a tree grew above and the roots of the tree came down into this cavity. At the bottom, the roots touch a pool of warm water, and you could go swimming in between the roots. It was awesome!!

So... we stayed at a beautiful resort, and when I booked it, they said there was a mini fridge in the room- awesome! Well, they lied, so Ryan and I improvised!

Needless to say, it was an amazing anniversary trip! As I wonder what we will do for our fifth anniversary (with the economy and me not working, probably Del Taco and a Net flix) I know that whatever we do, it will be the best anniversary ever- because I married the best guy in the world for me. It doesn't matter where we are or what we do, we always have a great time because we are together. I am super lucky!Love you babe! Thanks for taking a walk with me down memory lane...

Dune Diva!

This last weekend, Ryan and I headed out (with our lil' bit) to Dumont Sand Dunes to hang with Ry's fam and friends. We rode four wheelers, had a campfire, ate an awesome dinner, and enjoyed a fireworks show- IT WAS A BLAST!!! We had SOOOOO much fun- we want to buy a four wheeler now (sadly, that will have to wait a bit:() Me being the dork I am, only took a few pics. Here is Hailyn chillin' at the dunes- she absolutely LOVED it- she was so good- she only cried when we had to leave (I was crying too:)

Here's a pic of one of the four wheelers I rode (on the left)

It was SO much fun! We had such an awesome time- thanks guys for such a wonderful weekend! Love ya!

1 month update!

Ok, so Ryan and I just took Hailyn to the pediatrician and here are some stats:
Birth info:
weight: 8lbs, 4oz
height: 20 and 1/2 inches

1 month:

A moment of gratitude...

In the spirit of Thanksgiving, I thought I would write a little about what I'm thankful for, even though it is a few weeks early. First, all I can say about my life so far is WOW! I am SOOO blessed to have THE most amazing people in my life. Ryan and I have been overwhlemed with the amount of love and support reached out to us in the past few months. My pregnancy was not exactly smooth sailing, neither was the labor and delivery. The recovery has been horrible. As some of you know, I got really sick two weeks after Hailyn's birth and ended up in the ER, and I was very weak for a while. We have been the reciepients of SUCH love, from people bringing us dinner, to cleaning our house, coming over to watch Hailyn while I rested, helping me grocery shop, running random errands, calls to check on us... we are so blessed to have such extraordinary people in our lives! I just hope that we can be there for all of you whenever you need it and we hope you all know how much you mean to us! We feel so blessed to have such a strong support group here and we hope you all know hoe grateful we are and how much we love you!!

A look back!

Ok, so I'm going through the million pics on my camera (ok, 500+) and decided I need to share some of our fondest memories from the year past on my blog, so it's a blogging expedition in reverse! I will casually start unloading all my pics, my life in reverse. Get ready for a falsh back extravaganza!
Only yesterday, I was massivley pregnant and enjoying the company of some of my closest friends and family at an AWESOME baby shower- here are a few pics from that day...(ok, so it was a few months ago) here's a look back

Here I am opening a few gifts...

Here are the letters I made for Hailyn's room, mathcing the awesome quilt Amanda made for her (the picture wouldn't download of the quilt... grrrr)

Here's a sweet outfit- Hailyn recieved the nicest gifts!
<

These are just a few pics, I'm having issues downloading my pictures right now- I love computers! Anyhow, I'll post more pics on flickr when I get a chance. Thank you to everyone who made Hailyn's shower to wonderful! We were overwhelmed with the generosity and love outpoured towards us! Thank you again to everyone!

Where in the world is Mikey?

Since I've just recently joined the blogging world, I was looking through the 500+ pictures still saved on my camera (yes, I am that lame) and realized I have many fantastic memories saved on my camera, but what good are my pics if I can't preserve them and share them with our families and friends? Here are some precious pictures of our dogs...
Some of you may know that three years ago, we got our sweet little dog Bailey. I was never much of a dog person, but Bailey quickly changed my mind. She is smart, obedient, doesn't shed, and is the greatest dog ever! We love her!

Well, weloved Bailey so much, we thought to ourselves, "Bailey needs a friend, she's lonely" (we should've just had a baby! Babies are WAAAAAAY more fun, and so far, less trouble)
Anyhow, that led us to Mikey, one of the biggest mistakes Ryan and I have ever made. Mikey is a purebred English Bulldog, and was the cutest little tyke we ever laid eyes on, the moment we saw him, true love- he was so stinkin' cute! So, we ponied up WAY too much dough (there goes my five year anniversary trip to Europe!) and we purchased this lil' guy- he was six weeks old (awwww...)
Yes, we taught him to ride a skateboard- he was pretty good- no Tyson, but he was on his way

Well, the honeymoon quickly ended...
He ate all of our furniture! Seriously, our beautiful area rug, chewed and peed on, he ate three out of six of our dining room chairs, and he chewed our dvd wooden armoire holder. We had to put down wood floors because he destroyed our carpet, we re-did our backyard, he chewed through the fence and ripped out the grass. Supposedly, English Bulldogs are supposed to be really good with kids, he would torture our sweet little Bailey to death! Bailey would be laying on her bed oh so sweetly, he'd come over and bite her on the face, the ears. He would try to eat Bailey's food. We did EVERYTHING we could, and we finally found a family to just take him off our hands. They tried to give him back! They now found a family to take him off thier hands... he could be on his fifth home by now. I do feel a little guilt, him getting passed around that way, but I truly feel worse that he cause THOUSANDS of dollars worth of damage to our lives. Oh, to think what we could do with that money... A new four wheeler perhaps? Europe for our anniversary? Add to Hailyn's collge fund. A few lessons I learned from this experience: the best things in life truly are free (Bailey:) and the second lesson is- looks truly can be decieving- Mikey was a wolf in sheep skin- the devil incognito! The only comfort I get is knowing that one, my house is in better order (although I do desperatly need new furniture now- really badly!) and Mikey is no longer torturing our lives. We still have Bailey and love her- and Bailey certainly loves Hailyn- a much better companion for her than Mikey was. Sigh. Regrets. Does anyone else have any?
